Two Young Investigator Award (YIA) events are organised during the FEPSAC 2011 European Congress of Sport Psychology. Indeed, there is the possibility to submit your work to either the Oral Presentation Award or the Poster Presentation Award.

FEPSAC Oral Presentation prize money

  • 1st Prize: 500 Euros
  • 2nd prize: 300 Euros
  • 3rd Prize: 200 Euros

Elsevier Poster Presentation prize money

  • 1st Prize: 300 Euros
  • 2nd prize: 200 Euros
  • 3rd Prize: 100 Euros

Participation to the YIA is open to any FEPSAC member with student status. That is, contestants will be a member of FEPSAC by the time they submit their abstract and will be in possession of both a proof of studentship and a supervisor/s’ letter declaring originality and authorship of work presented. These will be confirmed by the FEPSAC Treasurer (FEPSAC membership) and requested by the organising committee (student proof and supervisor/s’ letter). When submitting your abstract, following standard FEPSAC conference procedures for abstract submission (i.e., abstract within a symposium submission in the case of the Oral Award or abstract for a poster submission in the case of the Poster Award), ensure you tick the necessary box in the submission form (i.e., YIA). Note that only one abstract can be considered for the YIA contest (i.e., either for the Poster Award or the Oral Award). Note that incomplete applications will not be considered for the award.

Specific sessions for the occasion will be organised within the Congress Programme, which will include an Oral Presentation Final and the YIA Ceremony the afternoon of the Conference’s Closing Ceremony.

Further information will follow. For the time being, if contestants have any question please do not hesitate to address them to Xavier Sanchez (University of Groningen, Netherlands; x.sanchez@rug.nl) and Antonis Hatzigeorgiadis (University of Thessaly, Greece; ahatzi@pe.uth.gr), FEPSAC Managing Council YIA organising committee.

The Chair of the Reviewers' YIA Panel is FEPSAC former President Prof. Roland Seiler (University of Berne, Switzerland).

We look forward to receiving your submissions and see you all in Madeira!
